இந்திய குடியரசு தலைவராக விளங்கிய டாக்டர் எஸ்.ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் செப்டம்பர் 5ம் தேதி பிறந்தார். ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் செப்டம்பர் 5ம் தேதி ‘ஆசிரியர் தினம்‘ என கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
