Age Limit: Candidates age limit is 18-33 years for UR, 18-36 years for OBC & 18-38 years for SC/ ST candidates as on 01-01-2014. Special Relaxation of Age Limit is applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must pass minimum 10th class/ ITI or equivalent from recognized Educational Institution/ Board, otherwise candidates will be rejected.

Examination Fee: Candidates has to pay Rs.100/- through Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of ‘Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), RRC-WR’ & payable at Mumbai. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Women, Minority communities and Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of Examination Fee.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Merit.

How to Apply: Interested candidates must send applications can be downloaded from the website of RRC-WR (i.e www.rrc-wr.com) complete in all respects along with all relevant enclosures in an envelope superscribed as “Application for the Posts in Pay Band I/ GP-Rs.1800/- of Western Railway” shall be sent by ordinary post to Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway, Parcel Depot, Alibhai Premji Road, Grant Road (East), Mumbai-400 007. The application can also be dropped in the Drop Box provided at the RRC/ WR Office on or before 14-01-2014 by 17.00 hrs and 29-01-2014 by 17.00 hrs for remote areas.

Note: Minority Communities means Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Paris).

                                      இவர் கைநாட்டுதான் ஆனால் இவர் பெற்றிருப்பது 'பத்மஸ்ரீ’ விருது ,அதுவும் தமிழனாக மிகவும் பாராட்டப்பட வேண்டியவர் ,வாங்க LIKe போடுவோம்!

விவசாயிகள் விஞ்ஞானத்தைக் கத்துக்கணும்!

பாண்டிச்சேரியில் இருந்து 15 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் இருக்கும் கூடப்பாக்கம் கிராமம் கொண்டாட்டத்தில் இருக்கிறது. 'எங்க மாநிலத்துக்குக் கிடைச்சிருக்கும் முதல் பத்ம விருது இது'' என்கிறார்கள் ஊர்க்காரர்கள். பூரிப்பில் இருக்கிறார் 'பத்மஸ்ரீ’ வெங்கடபதி. ''தோட்டத்துக்குப் போலாமா?'' என்று 'ஹுண்டாய் வெர்னா’ காரில் செல்கிறார்.

வெங்கடபதி தோட்டத்தில் அவர் உருவாக்கிய புதிய ரக கனகாம்பரச் செடிகள் வேறு எங்கும் காணக் கிடைக்காத நிறப் பூக்களால் நிரம்பிவழிகின்றன. சவுக்கு மரங்கள் இயல்பான வடிவத்தைக் காட்டிலும் பல மடங்கு பெருத்து நிற்கின்றன. கொய்யாப் பழங்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றும் ஒரு கிலோ எடைக்குக் காய்த்துத் தொங்குகின்றன. வெங்கடபதி நான்காவது வரைக்கும்தான் படித்திருக்கிறார். ஆனால், பேசத் தொடங்கினால் தாவரங்களின் தகவமைப்பு, குரோமோசோம்கள், மரபணு மாற்றம், அணுக்களின் ஆற்றல் என்று பின்னி எடுக்கிறார்.

''விஞ்ஞானத்தில் உங்களுக்கு எப்படி ஆர்வம் வந்தது?''

''ஆர்வம் எல்லாம் இல்லை. நிர்பந்தம். பரம்பரை பரம்பரையா விவசாயம்தான் தொழில். முப்போகம் பண்ணினோம். ஆனா, உழவன் கணக்குப் பார்த்தா உழக்குக் கூட மிஞ்சாதுங்கிறது ஒருநாள் எனக்கும் நேர்ந்துச்சு. ஊரைச் சுத்திக் கடன். தற்கொலை முடிவுக்கே வந்துட்டேன். கடைசியா ஒருமுறை வேளாண் துறை ஆளுங்களைப் பார்த்து யோசனை கேட்டுப் பார்ப்போம்; ஏதாவது வழி கிடைக்குமானு கிளம்பினேன். பெரியகுளம் தோட்டக்கலைத் துறை இயக்குநரா இருந்த சம்பந்தமூர்த்தியைச் சந்திச்சேன். மலர் சாகுபடி நல்ல வருமானம் தரும்னு சொன்னார். நெல்லை விட்டுட்டு, டெல்லி கனகாம்பரத்தைக் கையில் எடுத்தேன். நல்ல ஈரப்பதம் வேணும் அது வளர; சீதோஷ்ண நிலை 23 டிகிரியைத் தாண்டக் கூடாது; இங்கே எல்லாம் வளர்க்கவே முடியாது. ஆனா, வளர்த்தால் நல்ல வருமானம் கிடைக்கும். என்ன செய்யலாம்? அப்பதான் விஞ்ஞானத்தை வரிச்சுக்கிட்டேன்.''

''அயல் மகரந்தச் சேர்க்கை, மரபணு மாற்றம், திசு வளர்ப்பு முறை... இந்த விஷயங்களை எல்லாம் எப்படிக் கற்றுக்கொண்டீர்கள்?''

''அய்யா, நான் கைநாட்டுதான். ஆனா, ஒரு விஷயம் தோணுச்சுன்னா, அதை யார்கிட்ட கேட்டா முடிக்கலாமோ, அவங்ககிட்ட போய்டுவேன். உயர் ரக மலர் உற்பத்தியில் ஜெர்மனிக்காரர்கள் கில்லாடிகள்னு சொன்னாங்க. அப்ப இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்திருந்த ஜெர்மனி அமைச்சர் ஒருத்தர் 'இந்தியாவுக்கு வேண்டிய ஒத்துழைப்பை நாங்க வழங்குவோம்’னு பேசியிருந்தார். அவருக்குக் கடிதம் எழுதி, உயர் ரகப் பூக்களை உருவாக்கும் தொழில்நுட்பம் தொடர்பா எனக்கு உதவணும்னு கேட்டேன். அவர் ஒரு ஜெர்மானிய விவசாயியோட தொடர்பை எனக்கு உருவாக்கிக் கொடுத்தார். நானே ஒரு ஆய்வுக்கூடம் அமைச்சு, திசு வளர்ப்பு முறையில் கன்னுங்களை உருவாக்கக் கத்துக்கிட்டேன்.

ஒருநாள் என்னோட சம்சாரம் விஜயாள், கனகாம்பரத்தை ஏன் வெவ்வேற நிறத்துல உருவாக்கக் கூடாதுனு கேட்டாங்க. கோயம்புத்தூர் வேளாண் பல்கலைக்கழக இயக்குநரா இருந்த ஸ்ரீரங்கசாமி அய்யா வைப் போய்ப் பார்த்து யோசனை கேட்டேன். வழிகாட்டினார். அப்துல் கலாம் அய்யா அப்போ ஸ்ரீஹரிகோட்டாவில் விஞ்ஞானியா இருந்தார். அவரோட பழக்கம் ஏற்படுத்திக்கிட்டேன். கல்பாக்கம் போய் காமா கதிர்வீச்சு முறையில் கனகாம் பரத்தோட குரோமோசோம்களைப் பிரிச்சு ஒரு புதிய வகையை உருவாக்கினேன். அந்தக் கன்னுக்கு 'அப்துல் கலாம்’னு பேர் வெச்சேன். சாதாரண டெல்லி கனகாம்பர ரகம் ஒரு செடிக்கு 30 பூக்கள்தான் பூக்கும். அதுவும் பத்து மணி நேரம் கூடத் தாங்காது. ஆனா, 'அப்துல் கலாம்’ ரகம் ஒரு செடிக்கு 75 பூக்கள் பூக்கும். 17 மணி நேரம் வரைக்கும் பொலிவா இருக்கும். இதேபோல, கல்பாக்கம் அணு விஞ்ஞானி பாபட் உதவியோட புது சவுக்கு ரகத்தை உருவாக்கினேன். சாதாரண சவுக்கு ஏக்கருக்கு 40 டன் விளைஞ்சா, இந்த ரகம் 200 டன் கொடுக்கும். கொய்யாவும் அப்படித்தான். இன்னும் நிறைய ஆய்வுல இருக்கு.''

''இந்தியாவில் விவசாயம் லாபகரமான தொழிலாக மாற என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்?''

''இந்திய விவசாயிகளோட பெரிய எதிரி அறியாமைதான். எல்லாத் தொழில் லயும் இருக்குறவங்க எவ்வளவோ கத்துக்குறாங்கள்ல, விவசாயிகளுக்கும் அது பொருந்துமா இல்லையா? ரசாயன உரத்தையும் பூச்சிக்கொல்லிகளையும் எதிர்த்து நாம இவ்வளவு வலுவாப் பேசுறோமே... ஆனா, நவீன விவசாயத்துல கோலோச்சுற இஸ்ரேல் விவசாயிங்க இவ்வளவு ரசாயன உரம், பூச்சிக்கொல்லி களைப் பயன்படுத்துறது இல்லை தெரியுமா? அவன் சொட்டுநீர்ப் பாசனம் செய்யுறான். நம்ம விடுற தண்ணியில நூத்துல ஒரு பங்கு தண்ணியில் நம்ம போடுற ரசாயன உரத்துல பத்துல ஒரு பங்கு உரத்தைக் கலந்து சொட்டுச்சொட்டா தண்ணீர் பாய்ச்சுறான். எனக்குத் தெரிஞ்சு உலகத்துல தண்ணியை நம்ம அளவுக்கு மோசமா எந்த நாட்டு விவசாயியும் பயன்படுத்தலை. தண்ணீர் கூடுதலா இருக்குறதாலதான் விஞ்ஞானம் இங்கே வேலை செய்ய மாட்டேங்குதுனு நெனைக்கிறேன். தண்ணீர் மேலாண்மையை இந்திய விவசாயிங்க கத்துக்கணும். புது தொழில்நுட்பத்தைக் கத்துக்கணும். முக்கியமா விஞ்ஞானத்தை மிஞ்சினது எதுவும் இல்லைங்கிறதை உணரணும்!
