திருச்சி - புதுக்கோட்டை சாலையில் சுப்பிரமணிய புரத்தைத் தாண்டிச் செல்லும் அனைவரையும் திரும்பிப் பார்க்க வைக்கிறது அந்த கேண்டீன். வெண்ணிற அரைக்கால் சட்டை, பனியனுடன் அந்த கேண்டீனில் ஓடியாடிப் பணியாற்றும் ஊழியர்களைப் பார்த்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே இது மற்ற உணவகங்களில் இருந்து வித்தியாசமானது என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியும். திருச்சி மத்திய சிறையில் உள்ள கைதிகளைக் கொண்டு நடத்தப்படும் கேண்டீன்தான் அது.

காலை 6 மணிக்கெல்லாம் கேண்டீன் செயல்படத் தொடங்கி விடுகிறது. காலையில் இட்லி, பொங்கல், பூரி, வடை, தோசை வகைகள். மதியம் தயிர், புளி, எலுமிச்சை, சாம்பார் சாதம், விஜிடபிள் பிரியாணி என விதவிதமான சாத வகைகள். மாலையில் இட்லி, தோசை, சப்பாத்தி என டிபன் வகைகள். உணவைப் பரிமாறுவது மட்டுமல்லாமல் அதைச் சமைப்பதும் கைதிகளே. அவர்களின் கைமணத்தால் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் எண்ணிக்கை பெருகிக்கொண்டே செல்கிறது.

ஒருநாள் காலை அந்த கேண்டீனுக்கு அருகில் உள்ள சுப்பிரமணியபுரம் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த பாட்டி ஒருவர் தனது பேரக் குழந்தைகளுடன் அங்கு வந்து சாப்பிட்டுவிட்டு, வீட்டில் உள்ள மற்றவர்களுக்கும் பார்சல் வாங்கிச் சென்றதைக் காண முடிந்தது. இதுபோன்று பலர் அந்த கேண்டீனுக்கு வாடிக்கையாளர்கள். வீட்டுச் சமையல் போன்ற ருசியும் ஆரோக்கியமும்தான் இதற்குக் காரணம் என்கிறார்கள் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள்.

கைதிகளின் கைவண்ணம் கேண்டீனை ஒட்டி இனிப்பு வகைகள் விற்பனை செய்யும் கடையும் திறக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. லட்டு, பாதுஷா, ஜாங்கிரி என விதவிதமான இனிப்பு வகைகள், மணப்பாறை முறுக்கு உள்ளிட்ட பலவகை கார வகைகள் அங்கு விற்பனை ஆகின்றன. இந்த அங்காடியில் விற்பனை ஆகும் அத்தனை பண்டங்களும் சிறைக் கைதிகளால் தயாரிக்கப்படுபவை.

திருச்சி அருகேயுள்ள புள்ளம்பாடியைச் சேர்ந்த ஆயுள் தண்டனைக் கைதி குமார் என்பவர்தான் ஸ்வீட் மாஸ்டர், “அன்றைக்கு தயாரிக்கும் இனிப்பு, கார வகைகள் அன்றைக்கே விற்பனை ஆகி விடுகின்றன. எங்கள் இனிப்பு அங்காடியில் பழைய சரக்கு என்ற பேச்சுக்கே இடமில்லை. எல்லாமே புதுசுதான்” என்கிறார் அவர்.

சுமார் 9 ஆண்டுகளாகச் சிறையில் உள்ள குமாருக்கு பெரிய ஓட்டல் ஒன்றில் ஸ்வீட் மாஸ்டராக வேலை பார்த்த அனுபவம் உண்டு. தன்னிடம் உள்ள அனுபவத்தையும், திறன்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்த தற்போது சிறை அதிகாரிகள் தனக்குப் பெரும் வாய்ப்பைத் தந்துள்ளதாக உற்சாகத்துடன் தெரிவிக்கிறார் அவர்.

“பொதுவாக ஒரு கிலோ ரூ.300 முதல் ரூ.400 வரை இனிப்பு, கார வகைகள் விற்பனை செய்யப்படும் நிலையில், திருச்சி மத்தியச் சிறை நுழைவு வாயிலில் உள்ள சிறை அங்காடியில் ஒரு கிலோ ரூ.150 என்ற குறைந்த விலையில் நாங்கள் விற்பனை செய்கிறோம். விலைதான் குறைவே தவிர, பண்டங்களின் தரத்தில் கவனமாக இருக்கிறோம். மிகவும் சுத்தமான உணவுப் பொருள்களைக் கொண்டு இந்த இனிப்பு, கார வகைகள் தயாரிக்கப்படுகின்றன” என்கிறார் திருச்சி சரக சிறைத் துறை டி.ஐ.ஜி. ஆர். துரைசாமி.

“இதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் சென்னை, மதுரை உள்ளிட்ட பிற ஊர்களில் உள்ள சிறை அங்காடிகளுக்கும் இங்கிருந்து இனிப்பு மற்றும் கார வகைகளைத் தயாரித்து அனுப்பி வருகிறோம். அங்கு இங்குத் தயாரிக்கப்படும் இனிப்புக்கு நல்ல வரவேற்பு இருக்கிறது” என்கிறார் திருச்சி மத்தியச் சிறை கண்காணிப்பாளர் த.பழனி.

சிறை வாசலில் உள்ள இந்தக் கேண்டீனில் பணியாற்றும் அந்தக் கைதிகள் நினைத்தால் அடுத்த பத்தடி தூரத்தில் சாலையில் சென்று கொண்டிருக்கும் வாகனங்களில் ஏறித் தப்பிச் சென்று விடலாம். ஆனால் தாங்கள் கைதிகள் என்ற உணர்வே அவர்களிடம் இல்லை. ஏதோ சொந்த வீட்டில் பணியாற்றுவது போன்ற அர்ப்பணிப்பு உணர்வுதான் அவர்களிடம் தெரிகிறது.

உணவின் ருசி ஒருபக்கம், கைதிகளின் கனிவான உபசரிப்பு ஒருபக்கம். இவையெல்லாம் வாடிக்கையாளர்களின் வயிறை யும் மனத்தையும் நிறைத்து விடுகிறது.

விடுதலை ஆன பிறகு சமூகப் பொறுப்பு ணர்வோடு வாழும் பக்குவத்தை வளர்க்கும் வகையில், ஒவ்வொரு கைதியிடமும் உள்ள திறன்களை அடையாளம் கண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்ற பணிகளில் அவர்களை ஈடுபடுத்தும் திருச்சி மத்திய சிறை அதிகாரிகளின் பணி நிச்சயமாகப் பாராட்டப்பட வேண்டியது.

Educational Qualification: Candidate should be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/ Board (with minimum 50% marks). Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of computer operations.

Selection Process: Candidates would be selected based on their performance in online test and interview.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs.500/- for all candidates. Applicants have to bear Transaction charges as applicable for online payment.
Online Payment Mode: Candidates can be made by using only Master/Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.
Offline Payment Mode: The candidates have to pay the application fee from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days through payment challan at any branch of State Bank of India.Candidate should ensure State Bank of India Branch Code, Journal Number along with Branch Seal on the Candidates copy of the challan.

How to Apply: Eligible and interested candidates can apply On-line through LIC HFL’s website (www.lichousing.com) under the heading “Careers” from 28-02-2014 to 12-03-2014. On successful completion of the registration, a registration number and password will be generated. Candidates should note their registration number and password.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying online, candidates must have valid email ID, scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature.
2. Log on to website www.lichousing.com
3. Click on Careers and go o to “Job Opportunities” to open the page “ Recruitment of Assistants”.
4. Fill the online application with all the details and save the data.
5. Provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the provisional registration number and password.
6. Pay the fees as mentioned above. Once fee is paid, the registration process is completed.
7. On successful completion of the registration, a registration number and password will be generated. Candidates should note their registration number and password.
