குரு சாட்சாத் பரப்ரம்மா
தஸ்மை ஸ்ரீ குரவே நமஹா.
பொருள்:
பிரம்மா,விஷ்ணு,மகேஸ்வரர் இவர்கள் குரு தேவர்கள் ஆவர்கள். குருவின் அன்றாட நடவடிக்கைகள்,எண்ணங்கள்,சொற்கள் ஆகியவைகள் உண்மையை பிரதிபலிக்கும். அதாவது இம்மூன்று குணங்களையும் கடந்தவர் என்று பொருள்.அதனால் குரு பிரம்மா,விஷ்ணு,மகேஸ்வரர் முதலானோர்களுக்கு சமமாக கருதபடுகிறார் என்று பொருள்.
விளக்கம்:
ஒழுக்கத்தை மாணவர்களுக்கு சொல்லி கொடுப்பதால் அவர் பிரம்மாவாக கருதபடுகிறார்.மாணவர்களிடம் உள்ள நல்ல பழக்கங்களை பாதுகாப்பதால் அவர் விஷ்ணுவாக கருதபடுகிறார்.மாணவர்களிடம் உள்ள தீய குணங்களை அழிப்பதால் அவர் மகேஸ்வரராக கருதபடுகிறார்.இந்த மூன்று பணிகளையும் செய்வதால் அவர் மூம் மூர்த்திகளுக்கு சமமாக போற்றபடுகிறார்.
